French fashion house Chloé, founded in 1952 by Gabrielle Aghion and Jacques Lenoir, was created with the vision of designing couture-quality clothing that was actually suitable for an everyday lifestyle. Chloé has seen creative direction from a multitude of names such as Martine Sitbon, Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo, Paulo Melim Andersson, Hannah MacGibbon, and Clare Waight Keller. In 1997 when Stella McCartney took over artistic direction, Chloé took a twirl into a romantic, gypsy-inspired direction.
